The growing bluegrass phenomenon welcomed a rowdy crowd, decked in tye dye, for the second of three nights in Nashville.
Prepared to blow his audience away with a stacked set including an abundance of covers including Willie Nelson's “Hands on the Wheel”, as well as surprise guests appearances from Bryan Sutton, 12 year old Myles Gee, Mickey Raphael, and Sam Bush throughout the night.
Fans of all ages pour into Bridgestone Arena for the second night in a row, prepared to hear Strings deliver a performance that no one can prepare for.
Sporting a denim jumpsuit, Strings begins the night with a cover of the classic “Sally Goodin”, transitioning into his “Secrets” as the crowd dances and sings along. He continues to wow his crowd with an astonishing performance of “Away From the Mire” that transported fans into another dimension as they danced, spun, and lost themselves in his talent.
He continued moving through the first set of the night, astonishing his audience with his own music, along with a multitude of traditional bluegrass covers, and left for an intermission with a cover of Waylon Jennings “Waymore's Blues” with Gee as a special guest.
Fans saw special appearances from Bryan Sutton and Myles Gee during this set, with Sutton accompanying Strings during “The Train that Carried From Town”, “Black Mountain Rag”, “fire on my Tongue”, and “How Mountain Girls Can Love”.
Returning to the stage, Strings wasted no time, tearing into “Wargasm” an anti-war bluegrass tune commenting on current issues. From there it was straight into a cover of “Southern Flavor” and then, sending his smoke-billowing audience into a frenzy with his biggest solo hit to date, “Dust in a Baggie”.

This second set also saw appearances from guests such as Mickey Raphael and Sam Bush, playing with strings on “Hands On the Wheel” and “Old Home Place”. The audience then saw Strings and Bush perform “Eight More Miles to Louisville” , followed by “With a Vamp in the Middle” where they were joined by Sutton.
This bluegrass reign continued as Raphael rejoined the stage with a cover of “EMD”. Strings and Bush played “Whisper my Name” before closing the set and ending with the title track from his 2017 album “Turmoil and Tinfoil”.
He only returned for his encore, a cover of “Mana Don't Allow” accompanied by all of his special guests from the night.
This isn't the end of String's time in Nashville, as he will spend his third night in music city playing at the iconic Ryman Auditorium.
